3.1 Sampling sites

For all the sampling, we conducted them in the Research lab of SST Singapore.

The following graph above was showing the calculation of the moisture of the soil, which in this case is very good and perfect.

3.3 Special observations
While the screws were in the air, the resistance would always be either 0 or less than 10 Ohms. When the screws were immersed in dry soil, the reading was rather high – about 850 – 1023 Ohms. However, when the screws were immersed in a rather moist soil, the reading was moderate – about 700 – 750. This shows that the system is useable and rather accurate.
The figures below shows how correctly the soil sensor worked.
